Canoeing

Amazing canoeing adventure down a Canadian Classic, the Grand River with its leisurely flow & scenic, forest lined banks. Trips start from Bingemans' Camping Resort’s private river launch on the Grand & includes shuttle service between beginning & end points. Easy 1 to 2 hour adventure with experienced Paddle Canada certified river guides launching you with pre-trip instruction. All paddling gear (paddles, PFDs.) included.

Tubing

New for 2021, paddle your own river tube/personal raft along the Grand River on a day trip adventure, launching from the private launch in Bingemans Camping Resort. It's an awesome self-guided paddle/float trip down an easy, relaxing section of the forest-lined Grand River, with dashes of small swifts to keep your interest piqued.

Splash & have fun with friends &/or relax & view Great Blue Herons, Ospreys, Mallard ducks & turtles along the riverbank as you float downstream. An unbelievable natural experience close to home. Your easiest outdoor adventure ever.

Biking

New for 2021, bicycle rentals from Bingemans & Grand River Experiences. With great access to the Walter Bean Trail as it passes through Bingemans property, Bingemans is a great place to begin a bicycle adventure. The Walter Bean Trail runs 25km north to south along the Grand River through Waterloo Region with links to a network of other trails plus points of interest in the Region.

With Bingemans as your starting point, you can go for a great scenic bike ride & reach all kinds of locations on the trails in the KW Region.

Learn to Paddle

Take your paddling to the next level through our experiential learning session combining lessons along with a paddling trip down the Grand River. Whether you're a novice or seasoned paddler this trip will leave you with a new sense of confidence out on the water.

Your experience begins with morning lessons with your Paddle Canada Instructor learning important safety paddling techniques on calm water at Bingemans’ stretch of the Grand River. The perfect spot to get acquainted with paddling. Learn canoe strokes such as draws and 'J’ strokes, kayak & Paddleboard strokes like sweeps, C's and braces. Your instructor will show you how to read the river and know what strokes to use in different conditions.

In the afternoon you will head out on the Grand River for a paddling excursion with your instructor. The trip allows you to put your new skills into practice in the real world and by the end of the day you will be paddling the river with confidence.
